Every Ferrous Grain pen goes through its own individual journey of creation.

Beginning with the lumber itself, every piece is milled, drilled, and prepared by hand - one at a time.  
                                                    

At speeds exceeding 3600rpm, each piece of wood is then turned on a lathe. Using carbide chisels, this is where the wood is hand sculpted into its final form.

Following a rigorous 14-step sanding and polishing process, every pen is then sealed and finished in a manner that displays the natural look and feel of the grain.

No high-gloss glues or resin finishes are applied, as we believe that the natural state of the wood cannot be improved upon.

Over time, this will allow for the natural oils of your hand to enter the piece, creating a timeless beautiful patina, truly unique to you.
